Marriott San Jose (174 ft) – With modern amenities and luxurious spaces, this hotel is the perfect spot to relax after a long day at the conference. As an added bonus, it is adjacent to the San Jose Convention Center, making it a breeze for you to walk to and from the event each day.
Hilton San Jose (0.2 mi) – This hotel is also connected to the San Jose Convention Center, making it the ideal choice for attendees who don’t want to travel far. Plus, the hotel features a restaurant, bar, and heated outdoor pool, making it easy for you to unwind after full day of learning and networking.
Fairmont San Jose (0.6 mi) – This elegant and sophisticated hotel featured deluxe guest rooms and suites in the heart of San Jose. Plus, it is just a five-minute walk to the convention center.
You have some great choices in and around San Jose for gathering for meals or business meetings while enjoying some down time after the conference. Here are just a few that are near the Velocity venue:

The weather in San Jose in mid-June is typically sunny and uneventful. On average, June has the least amount of rain for the whole year. The average high temperature is about 87 degrees, and the low is 61 degrees. That, with lots of sunshine, make it perfect for your visit for the Velocity Conference.
There really is no way around it, you are going to need to get around San Jose by car. The city does have public transportation, but routes are limited compared with other nearby cities. There is taxi service, but they are not readily available to hail, you have to call ahead. If you need to rent a car while in San Jose for the conference, you can contact Hertz for a discount. Or you can always get an Uber to take you where you need to go.
While you’re in San Jose for the Velocity Conference, there are some other things that you may want to see. Of course, The City by the Bay, San Francisco, is just an hour north of San Jose, and there is a long list of things to do there if you have the time to make the drive. If you are staying close to San Jose though, here are a few things you won’t want to miss:
California’s Great America – This 100-acre amusement park is less than 10 miles from the San Jose Convention Center. It boasts over 40 rides and attractions, including Gold Striker, an award-winning wooden roller Coaster.
Levi’s Stadium – Home of the San Francisco 49ers, this is more than just a stadium. You can visit the 49ers Museum, the Team Store, or Bourbon Pub even when it’s not game time.
Mission Santa Clara de Asis – First established in 1777, the Franciscan Order handed the Mission over to the Society of Jesus (the Jesuits) in 1851, who then started Santa Clara College, the first institution of higher education in California. Today, the Mission serves as the student chapel for Santa Clara University.
