In mid-February, the temperatures in Palm Springs tend to be pretty mild. The average high is typically right around 77 degrees, while the average low falls to around 50 degrees. With sunshine, low humidity, and slim chances of rain, this is a great time to visit the Palm Springs area.
You have several options when it comes to getting around in the Palm Springs area. The New SunLine public bus system is an easy and inexpensive option for visitors, with adult fares only being $1.00. There are also plenty of cab services in the area, or you can rent your own vehicle. One fun option is available from Via Green Cars. These low-speed vehicles provide you with a unique, open air experience as you cruise through Palm Springs. And yes, they are street legal.
El Paseo Shopping District – This shopping center truly has it all. You can visit unique art galleries, add a few new pieces to your wardrobe from some of the chic boutiques, treat yourself to a new piece of jewelry, and enjoy a gourmet meal.
Living Desert Zoo and Gardens – This attraction and conservation allows you to explore the various deserts of the world. You can feed the giraffes, view a spectacular butterfly exhibit, observe a mountain lion, watch golden eagles, and more.
Palm Spring Aerial Tramway – While you are in the Palm Springs area, you have to experience the world’s largest rotating tram car. This will take you over 2 ½ miles along the Chino Canyon cliffs, with a final destination at the Mt. San Jacinto State Park.
